Welcome to the ATL. My name is Julie Wild and I
am a sex,.love and intimacy coach. Often referred to as Atlanta's hottest
sex coach. I am an active swinger, I write a weekly column, Ask A Swinger
and I will be hosting my new talk radio show, The Julie Show. I will
be hosting my audio show from a local swing club.
For those of you that are visiting the Atlanta area or live in North
Georgia, we have three wonderful area swing clubs to enjoy. Besides
the three clubs, their are several yahoo groups that host private parties
along with a few member organized alternative lifestyle clubs. I have
listed three of the area clubs along with a few other swing clubs around
the country. If you visit a swing club, please tell them Julie Wild
sent you.
Each club has something unique to offer. Although I would suggest you
visit each club and decide for yourself, I know that is not always
possible.
On the west side of Atlanta, located off Fulton Industrial is Club
Trapeze. This is a wonderful and professionally run club. I have been
to many swing clubs across America and this club is one of the most
professionally run clubs. It has that chain feel.
Once you join the club, you walk through a set of doors, into a large
room with a nightclub atmosphere. There is a dance floor, off to the
side is a large wrap around bar, which allows you to bring your own
alcohol and they provide the mixers. Each night the club features a
buffet which adds to the nightclub feel and truly adds to the value
you receive for the price of admission.
After you have enjoyed the dancing and dining, you enter the locker
rooms, members undress in a athletic club style locker room, wrap yourself
up in a towel the club provides and you enter the play area. As you
walk through those doors, you would not imagine what awaits you.
The club is laid out like a small rooms, both private and group rooms.
As you make your way toward the rear of the club, you will find hot
tubs, a splash pool complete with palm trees and outdoor furniture.
Trapeze offers a very professional, upscale experience. Select evenings
are reserved for couples. Each month the club offers specialty themed
events. Please check their web site for additional information. Club
Trapeze offers valet parking and is easy to find.
I have so found memories of visiting Velvet Heaven in Atlanta right
off Cheshire Bridge Rd. The club was very basic, nothing fancy, but
the members were great. I had so much fun on the brass poles on the
stage, playing in the group room, playing in the vouirer room and just
walking around watching other couples and singles having a great time.
Unfortunately a few years ago, the City of Atlanta closed Vh down.
They cited the club for failing to comply with fire codes. The building
sat vacant for several years while the former manager, Charlie attempted
to get city approval to reopen. The club reopened in September 2005
as Little Wings.
While I have not been back to visit the new club, I have been in contact
with many of my old friends who were regulars at VH and they let me
know that the new club is very similar to Velvet Heaven. I hope to
be invited to Little Wings in the near future and maybe even host my
audio show live from Little Wings someday.
Not far from Little WIngs is Club Venus. I have been to Venus several
times over the past few years. The club is much smaller than the other
clubs and much more intimate. The lighting in the club is very low,
so it is almost difficult at times to see as you walk around. The dance
floor is cozy and the members all seem to be regulars.
If you are looking for a intimate swing club to visit, Club Venus might
be the place.
I am often asked about another club in town, 2 Risqué. If you
follow my blog you might recall a story or two I posted about 2 risqué.
Although the facility is quite nice, I had a very bad experience early
on at 2 Risqué and I have never returned. The club is more a
swing club meets mainstream nightclub. In my opinion, it could have
been a new standard in swing clubs, unfortunately, based on my personal
experience, I can not recommend 2 Risqué at this time.

you.
